© Leanne Rowcroft Counselling 2016

"I went to Leanne in need of some help for my daughter aged 10 yrs old.  After my marriage break up she struggled greatly with going to see her father and was full of anger and starting to stop eating meals.  Distraught and running out of ideas on how to help my daughter, I sought help from our school who pointed us in the direction of Leanne.

Leanne worked with my daughter, helping her to learn how to deal with everything going on and how to control her emotions better.

My daughter improved immensely during and after the counselling. Being quite a shy girl, the counselling brought her on leaps and bounds.

She transformed into a different child.

The tools that my daughter learned in counselling has made her more confident in new situations, more confident in speaking about any problems she may be going through.  Most importantly she started to see her father again and felt confident in being in control whilst with him, which is what we set out to achieve.

Leanne effectively gave me back my daughter in a stronger version"                                                  ~A

"She was a godsend!

We had vulnerable children with a myriad of social and emotional problems, caused by marriage break ups, adoption issues, sibling jealousies and personal insecurities.

We didn’t know where to start in dealing with these pupils. We knew they had genuine problems that were incapacitating them, but helping them effectively within the daily confines of the school was impossible.

Along came Ms Rowcroft.

In her quiet, understated but positive manner she put these children at ease.

She delivered individually based programmes that met the needs of these children.

She gave them opportunities to voice their concerns. She helped them confront their fears.

She gave them strategies to cope. But most importantly she was an expert listener giving them the time they needed. Some programmes lasted six weeks, others two terms. The pupils received the counselling they needed.

We saw an immense difference in the pupils with whom Ms Rowcroft worked.

We saw them grow in confidence. They walked taller. They were happier. They interacted more in the classroom. There were fewer issues and problems in the classroom and the playground.

We strive to be an inclusive school but we don’t always have the tools.

Ms Rowcroft was a vital asset to us and the pupils she worked alongside.

We cannot thank her enough"
